Diamonds are a girl's best friend...unless you are taking their pictures!

I was SO excited when my sister-in-law asked if I would come down to Philip & Co. and take some photos of their jewelry for their website! Other than a few hand shots, I haven't had much opportunity to photograph diamonds but with a love for all things beautiful and macro work, I was totally game. Piece of cake I thought. More like a 5 tiered, white chocolate wedding cake, filled with lemon mascarpone cream and studded with flowers and berries. Yeah, it was a little harder than I thought it was going to be but, by golly, am I in love with these photos!

The holidays are here and what better time than NOW to think about gorgeous diamonds sparkling under the holiday lights. Little boxes, wrapped up in ribbon and filled with tiny morsels of glittering rings, bracelets, earrings and anything else your heart desires.

Philip & Company began in 1958 by my husband’s grandfather Philip Sonntag. This little Salt Lake City landmark has been selling wholesale and custom jewelry to loyal stores and customers for generations now. Philip Sonntag’s granddaughter, Melissa and her husband, Eric Butikofer (my awesome in-laws) continue on in the traditions of our family, providing quality service and stunning products to generations of customers who continue to support the best little diamond business I know.
